Local Charities

Our lodge motto is “Helping Our Community in Need”

As a nonprofit, charity is an integral part of our lodge.  Most of our charities identified below are local, thus helping to make our community a better place to live.  The help we provide on an annual base helps our community provide goods and services to people who need the help.
We are proud to help.

  • Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center

    Mission Statement

The mission of the Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center is to assist our local military veterans with job placement, filing claims with the Veterans Administration, help those veterans who find themselves in deep financial difficulties, and to shelter those honorably discharged veterans who are homeless.

In order to accomplish these goals we will seek out all available resources within the community, and bring a better awareness to the sacrifices our military veterans have endured to provide safety and security for the United States of America.

  • Help 4 Kids

Helping the most vulnerable children of Horry County stay happy, healthy, and fed. Help 4 Kids / Backpack Buddies is a 100% volunteer organization that relies solely on donations. While school is in session, we collect donations of food and snacks, that are then put into food sacks that are sent home with underprivileged Horry County children in their backpacks on Fridays. We call them Barb’s Kids – after our founder Barb Mains.
